Food and Shelter
In 2008, 26,563 household visits were made for 93,305 individuals who were hungry. To assist them the Center distributed 234 tons of food on the day it was needed!
1,744 neighbors came for our special holiday food distributions at Easter, Thanksgiving (front cover background shows the Thanksgiving giveaway), and Christmas. In addition 2,400 seniors joined us for the "First Friday" monthly Senior Food Program sponsored by the Los Angeles Regional Food Bank on our site...
