On October 2nd, the Bishop struck his hand on our doors and declared the Cleaver Family Wellness Clinic and the Jack and Beatrice Bird Learning Center open! Vera Cleaver and El Monte's Mayor Montez cut the ribbons. Five doves, suddenly freed from their handlers, flew up and passed our building in a flutter of wings and streak of white. It was magic, a moment never to be forgotten...
