On September 11, 2025, Dorris Dann Kids Campus celebrated its 19th year of inspiring and nurturing children and youth in El Monte. Dorris Dann Kids Campus first opened its doors in 2006, which aimed to provide families with free, reliable, and enriching youth development opportunities. After 19 years, we continue to deliver a quality program to our community. As educational standards change, we have evolved to exceed these standards while meeting the various academic and developmental needs of youth. As we open our Best Buy Teen Tech Center to teens this fall, we are excited to elevate our mission and look forward to what the next chapter holds for Dorris Dann Kids Campus.
To celebrate this milestone, backpacks and school supplies were distributed to youth enrolled in our program. The backpacks were collected during a recent backpack drive hosted by the Church of Our Saviour. Thanks to this backpack drive, Dorris Dann Kids Campus was able to give back to the same community we have continued to foster these past 19 years. This drive would not have been possible without the kindness and generosity of parishioners. We thank parishioners for making this backpack drive possible and for their continued support these past 19 years, which has empowered Dorris Dann Kids Campus to continue fostering the social, emotional, and mental well-being of children and youth in generations past, and to come.
In addition to Dorris Dann Kids Campus’ 19 years, Our Saviour Center will be celebrating its 40th anniversary this October 4th, 2025. Join us for an evening of reflection, celebration, and inspiration! The event will include a seated dinner, live entertainment, keynote speakers, and a silent auction.
